Pipe Welders – Skills and Competence in Pipe Installation job
A pipe fitter is responsible for installing and assembling pipeline welding systems either on-site or in a workshop. Tasks include setup of equipment, preparation of materials, and the ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
The more welding techniques and skills – the greater the value. This is one of our most in-demand roles and among the highest paying construction jobs in the welding industry.
Key Competencies:
- Reading isometric drawings
- Understanding P&ID diagrams
- Using software such as Pipefitter
- Familiarity with welding standards (ISO 5817 class B & C, ISO 3834)
- Keeping welding logs according to ISO 3834
- Working with 3D tools (Dalux, Navisworks, etc.)
- Independent installation from measurement to fitting
- Team experience and leadership skills
- Driver’s license, forklift license
- Basic English
- Pipe welding, plasma cutting, and gas cutting
- Experience in fabricate and repair of metal structures
Fitter Categories:
Level 1 – Specialist with most or all of the above skills, in both industrial and HVAC settings. Usually 10+ years of experience. Often leads a team of 2–3 people.
Level 2 – Assistant fitter performing prep work and welding of PE pipes.
Pipe Welders – 6G Certification
The welder is the key person in the project – they join the pipes using advanced welding techniques like TIG, MIG, and electric arc welding. We value candidates with valid 6G certification, experience with WPS, and adherence to ISO 3834 documentation.
Minimum Requirements – Welder:
- Pipe welding in all positions
- Drawing interpretation
- Read and interpret blueprints
- TIG, MMA, MIG/MAG, manual arc welding
- ISO 5817 Class B and C
- Logging welds, following procedures
- Willingness to assist with fitting if needed
Additional Skills That Increase Your Value while we hire:
- Mastery of multiple welding techniques and types of welding

- Experience with rotation-based projects and pipeline welding
- Familiarity with various welding process steps and standards
Project Manager – Technical Piping Projects (Rotation)
The Project Manager oversees the entire process: welding, installation, logistics, inspections. Plans time, budget, customer contact, and ensures safety.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of welding, insulation, and pressure testing
- Project management: time, resources, budget
- Quality control, process optimization
- Leadership and team motivation
- Documentation, HSE
- Familiarity with ISO, EN, and local labor regulations
